Dennis Hopper – The Lost Album, Royal Academy London 26 June – 19 Oct.

Dennis Hopper earned his place in history starring in classic movies like, Apocalypse Now, Easy Rider and Blue Velvet.  His is less well-known as a Photographer and was at the eye of the storm in the turbulent decade of social and political change in the 60’s, photographing the world around him taking in hells angels and hippies, rock bands, The Civil Rights Movement, Harlem and east and west coast America.  There were some major exhibitions of his work in the 1970’s and his images paint a vivid portrait of 1960’s America.
